The creation of a useless object in a culture so focused on efficiency and convenience is a compelling action. As art and design increasingly borrow from each other’s priorities of aesthetic and value, the dissolution of use all together becomes an entertaining process to investigate within design. Constructed from a 18” tall traffic cone, the reUSEless object takes the functional image of warning and transforms it into a elegant concentric nesting object.
